I have been eyeing this restaurant for some time and I finally did the effort to visit last week. It was a good place to get a quick meal away from the shopping centres where everyone may have been rushing for their holiday shopping.
Araya Ramen is located at 107 Dela Rosa Street in Legazpi Village, Makati.
Its one of Dela Rosa Carpark's tenants on the street level and right across Enterprise Center.
The space is very limited and could probably accommodate less than twenty customers at the same time.
I like the minimalist aesthetics.
Groups who come during peak hours may end up not staying next to each other.
I arrived a little past twelve noon and it was still quiet with only two other customers. While eating, more customers arrived and the scenario became a bit congested.
Gyoza. There's also Chicken Gyoza which I want to try some other time.
The iconic Japanese dumplings were robustly filled with meat and very tasty.
For my ramen, I chose Araya Special Miso Ramen.
The " Special " bowls come with seasoned boiled egg, chashu, more ground pork, more naruto ( pink and white round fishcake ) and more noodles ( plus 20 grams ).
The broth was wonderful and delicious. It had the comforting element that good broth produces. An order is quite generous already.
If you don't mind having a server or customer brush against you due to Araya Ramen's narrow space, then this restaurant is commendable for a quick meal. Service is friendly and prompt. I'm already planning a second meal of Takoyaki and Tantan Men or Tsuke Men after the holidays.
Cost of Meal : P 530.00
