It's election time once again and we all know the aspiring politicians are everywhere, sharing their plans in our country once they got elected.
Former senator Jinggoy Estrada's daughter San Juan Vice Mayor Janella Ejercito bids as mayor for the 2019 midterm elections, outgoing Mayor Guia Gomez already gave her support to Janella.
If Janella wins, she will be the fifth in the Ejercito clan to land the top local executive position in San Juan for almost five decades. Janella, who belongs to the Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) is running alongside Boy Celles, who is seeking the vice mayor post.
At 28 years old, Janella said she wants to continue her projects for the youth and she has the support of her family specifically her father.
During the "birthday salubong" of Senator Jinggoy Estrada, he was greeted by the media friends together with his daughter Janella.
Born on February 17, 1963 in Manila as the eldest son of former President and Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada and former Senator Dra. Luisa Pimentel Estrada, Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada is not new in the world of public service having dedicated more than twenty-five (25) years of his life in giving service to the public.
He finished his primary and secondary education in the Ateneo de Manila University and earned a degree in A.B. Economics from the University of the Philippines. He took up Law for four (4) years at the Lyceum of the Philippines while serving as Vice-Mayor of then Municipality of San Juan at a young age of 25.
In 2007 recognizing his academic excellence and socio-civic achievements as public servant, he was bestowed Doctorate in Humanities (Honoris Causa) by the Laguna State University. In 1992, he became the youngest ever elected-Local Chief Executive in the entire nation. During his tenure, San Juan gained the reputation of being the most progressive and peaceful municipality in the Philippines.
In 1998, he was sworn into office as the National President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines where he effectively and efficiently harnessed the potential of the local government units as reliable partner of the national government in nation building. In 2004, he was elected to the Senate with the ardent support of the Filipino masses. During his first term as Senator, he translated his experience and solid background as a local chief executive into becoming one of the most productive legislators of the country. At the age of 44, he assumed as the youngest elected Senate Presldent Pro -Tempore.
Sen. Estrada consistently chalked up perfect attendance — never absent, never late —during the previous Congresses, a rare feat accomplished only by a very few lawmakers VI the entire history of Philippine Senate.
Proving himself to be more than a parliamentarian, he opened his office and explored avenues to offer public service to his constituents, like legal counseling, medical subsidies and scholarship grants. In the May 2010 automated elections, an overwhelming eighteen (18) million Filipino people have once again placed their trust in him and made him one of the topnotchers in the senatorial race. He became the Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development that passed at least nine landmark labor legislation with him as principal sponsor. Among these are the Batas Kasambahay (Republic Act 10361), Lifting the Night Work Prohibition for Women (Republic Act 10151), Strengthening the Migrant Workers Act (Republic Act 10022), broader network of Public Employment Service Office or PESO (Republic Act 10691), and laws strengthening the worker's labor and constitutional rights.
Presently, Senator Jinggoy is hubled, "Lubos po ang aking pasasalamat sa taumbayan sa ipinapakita niiang pagmamahai sa akin. Hindi ko po ito makakalimutan,"

Senator Jinggoy Estrada is running under the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, he served as a senator for 2 terms. PMP is a party that is founded by former President and Manila Mayor Erap Estrada. Sen. Estrada is also endorsed by Hugpo ng Pagbabago (HNP) which is spearheaded by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

The actor, who is now a resident of Brgy. Little Baguio, San Juan, announced his political plans during the proclamation rally of his new party, the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, which was founded by deposed president now incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.

In 2004, he was named chairman of the Optical Media Board, where he served for 5 years. He failed in last two attempts to return to public office – as vice president in 2010 and as senator in 2016. He was later on introduced by former senator Jinggoy Estrada during their party's proclamation rally in San Juan.
